Mangaluru: ICYM with interreligious dialogue hosts ‘Savardha Koota - Thene Habba 2024'

Mangaluru, Sep 23: ICYM, in collaboration with the interreligious dialogue, hosted the 'Savardha Koota - Thene Habba 2024' on Sunday, September 22. The event commenced with a prayer dance by ICYM members.

Among the dignitaries present were parish priest Fr William Menezes, vice president of the Parish Pastoral Commission Arthur D’Souza, secretary Daffny Lewis, and several community leaders such as Sadananda Alva, Mohammed Baddur, Melwyn Braggs, Zaffrulaka Wodyer, and Yaseen, the president of Adyar Panchayath, which also included former president of Meramajal gram panchayath Vrinda, coordinator of 21 parish commissions and ICYM animator Elroy Saldanha, ICYM president Hancil Rodrigues, and secretary of the Interreligious dialogue Roylin Saldanha.

Elroy Saldanha welcomed the attendees, and all guests received a floral green welcome. The event featured reflections on interreligious harmony from Sadananda Alva, Yaseen, Mohammed Baddur, Melwyn Braggs, and Vrinda. This was followed by a presidential address from a parish priest Fr William Menezes. Diyola D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks, and the event concluded with Fr Menezes blessing the food before everyone enjoyed lunch together.
