Mangaluru Yuva Dasara postponed to Diwali due to Election Code of Conduct

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 2: The much-anticipated Mangaluru Yuva Dasara event, initially set for October 5, has been postponed to Diwali. The decision was made by MLA Umanath Kotian in response to the Election Commission's enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct ahead of the upcoming MLC elections.

In consultation with event organizers and local authorities, MLA Umanath Kotian emphasized his dedication to ensuring the success of the event while strictly adhering to the Election Commission's directives. The postponement reflects a commitment to respecting the election rules and maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.

"We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience," said Kotian. He reassured that the rescheduled Mangaluru Yuva Dasara, to be held during Diwali, will be an even more vibrant and grand celebration, aligning with the festive atmosphere of the season.

The organizers look forward to enthusiastic participation from the community during the Diwali festivities.
