Fake Facebook account created in MP Kota Srinivas Poojary’s name, case filed

Udupi, Oct 5: A complaint has been filed concerning the creation of a fake Facebook account under the name of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha MP Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Unknown individuals allegedly set up the account using Poojary’s name and profile photo with the intent to defame him and unlawfully solicit money.

The complaint highlights concerns about the misuse of the MP's personal identity and calls for legal action against the perpetrators behind this fraudulent account.

The complaint states: “Unknown individuals have created fake accounts on social media using the name of MP Kota Srinivas Poojary of the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency. They are misusing his photo and soliciting money from the public. These individuals are deliberately using the official photos and information of Srinivas Poojary with the intent to illegally acquire money and tarnish his reputation. Appropriate legal action must be taken against those responsible for creating these fraudulent accounts.”
