Mangaluru: Kavoor Govt First Grade College organises NSS inauguration, orientation programme

Mangaluru, Oct 7: NSS aims to develop students character and personality through community service. In this context, Government First Grade College, Kavoor organized inauguration and orientation programme of NSS unit 2024-25 on October 5.

Dr Naveen Konaje, associate professor, Dr P Dayananda Pai P Sathisha Pai, Government First Grade College, Car Street, inaugurated the programme by watering the medicinal plant. In his inaugural address, he explained the importance of NSS in students life and advised the students to actively take part in NSS as volunteers which will help the students to develop their overall personality and engage in community oriented services.

Mamatha U, NSS programme officer gave introductory note and welcomed the gathering. In her presidential remarks, the principal Dr Geetha M L also shared her experience as NSS volunteers and appreciated the NSS volunteers service in and around college.

Dr Therese Pereira, IQAC coordinator, Dr Santhosh Pinto, Vidhyarthi Parishad coordinator, NSS student leaders Mohammed Munab, II BCom and Sanjana, II BBA were present on the stage. Deepthi of III BCom compered the programme, Sanjan of II BBA proposed vote of thanks.
