Sullia: Pickup-bike collision leaves rider, pillion injured

Sullia, Oct 8: A bike rider and his pillion were injured when their bike was hit by a pickup at Chapalla near Savanoor on Monday.

The pickup was traveling from Puttur while the bike was heading towards Puttur. The accident occurred as the bike rider tried to avoid a dangerous pothole on the road.

Bhaskara (53), a resident of Punchatharu in Kaniyoor village, who was riding the bike, and Pavan (18), a resident of Kondadikoppa in Alankaru village, who was the pillion rider, were injured. Bhaskara sustained serious head and facial injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Bellare police visited the scene and registered a case.
