50% of private schools in Karnataka fail to renew recognition

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Oct 19: Despite being given two months to renew recognition for the 2024-25 academic year, more than 50% of private schools in the state have not applied for the same. The state education department has extended the deadline to November 4. The initial period for renewal was from July 25 to September 30.

“Renewal of recognition is required for a school to be considered authorized. Without it, student registration for the SSLC examination, RTE fee reimbursement, and the payment of aided school teachers’ salaries cannot proceed. Schools that complete the renewal process will be granted recognition for 10 years. If an application is rejected, the school’s administration board may reapply. The DDPI must also avoid delays in inspecting the applications. The entire process, from receiving applications to granting recognition, should be completed by December 9,” said commissioner of the school education department, B B Kaveri.

State textbooks and syllabus must be followed in all private aided and unaided schools using the state curriculum. Failure to comply will result in action against violators, as per the information provided by the commissioner. This notice follows complaints that some schools with permission to follow the state syllabus are instead using textbooks from other curriculums. Schools are reminded to adhere to the state syllabus as per the conditions laid down during recognition and renewal. Requests for textbooks should be made through the Student Admission System (SATS).

Public or Private Schools, Public or Private Hospitals should raise their standard of teaching and patients care / diagnosis as they have successfully implemented it in Delhi under Arvind Kejriwal's regime. Otherwise it's deficiency of service, for they take either tax payers money or public money and don't deliver what they are supposed to. If peoples awareness is improved to it's required level, and if they start acting on it, then our country will improve, our lives will also improve, otherwise we all allow them to deceive us!
