Udupi: Fr John Fernandes and Anita D'Almeida to receive prestigious RUPSA award

Udupi, Oct 20: Brahmavar's Nirmala English Medium School's correspondent Fr John Fernandes, and Sastan's St Anthony's English Medium School's headmistress, Anita D'Almeida, have been selected by the Recognised Unaided Private Schools Association of Karnataka (RUPSA) for their exemplary contributions in the field of education.

Fr John Fernandes, who is also the parish priest of Holy Family Church, Brahmavar, received the "Best Administrator Award" for his leadership and dedication as the principal of Nirmala English Medium School.

Anita D'Almeida, with 25 years of teaching experience, has been serving as the headmistress of St Anthony's English Medium School in Sastan for the past 15 years. She has been awarded the "Best Teacher Award" for her outstanding efforts in both academic and extracurricular training for students.

The awards will be presented by Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa, at a ceremony scheduled on October 21 at Jubilee International School in Bengaluru.
