Customs Mangaluru Commissionerate organizes cancer screening camp for MCC workers

Mangaluru, Oct 29: The Indian Customs Mangaluru Commissionerate, in collaboration with The Jewels Group, Indiana Cancer Centre, and Indian Cancer Society, with support from Oracle, organized a free cancer screening and awareness camp for Mangaluru City Corporation's sanitation workers and their families. The event took place at CODP on Tuesday, October 29.

Chief dental health officer at District Wenlock Hospital, Dr Mushaqueer Hussain, delivered a brief talk on cancer awareness.

Present at the event were commissioner of Indian Customs Mangaluru Commissionerate Vinitha P Shekar, assistant commissioner Shobha Peres Bhatt, gynecological oncologist from GCRI Ahmedabad Dr Sangeetha, gynecologist from Indiana Hospital Dr Zulfia, chief dental health officer Dr Mushaqueer Hussain, medical oncologist Dr Ramnath Shenoy, and Jewels Group member Prakash Pandeshwar, among others.

Assistant commissioner Ramesh Chandra welcomed the gathering. Jewels Group member Oliveera Quadros compered the event, and Florin Saldanha proposed the vote of thanks.
