Mangaluru: 15 years later, White Doves reunites Moushin with his family

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 30: Around 15 years ago, Moushin's family enrolled him in a madrasa to study and become a Moulvi. Shortly after, he went missing, and despite exhaustive efforts, his family was unable to trace his whereabouts.

On December 10, 2017, the White Doves team rescued Moushin and brought him to their Jail Road Home. He appeared mentally disturbed, resisted bathing, and often just wanted to sleep. At one point, he even attempted to escape but was safely returned to White Doves. Over time, with medication and dedicated care, Moushin gradually regained mental stability and was finally able to share partial details about his place of origin, though he was unclear about the exact location.

The White Doves team, after extensive online research, identified a similar-sounding location: Balrampur Thana in Bihar. Upon reaching out, the police in Balrampur helped trace Moushin's family, who were overjoyed to learn he was alive after 15 years of uncertainty. After confirming his identity through photos, they requested a video call. Initially, Moushin struggled to recognize his family, possibly due to the absence of his glasses, but eventually, he began to recall them.

Moushin’s brothers, who work in Mumbai, arrived in Mangaluru on Wednesday October 30, overwhelmed with joy to be reunited with him.
