Bantwal: Scooter rider dies following collision with bus

Bantwal, Nov 7: The rider of a scooter, struck by a private bus on the night of November 3 at Kadegoli near Thumbe, succumbed to his injuries on November 5.

Sandeep (38), a resident of Rottigudde, Thumbe, was the rider who passed away in the hospital.

His pillion rider, Praveen (35), had died on the spot. The two were crossing the divider at Kadegoli junction to head towards Thumbe from Rottigudde when their scooter was hit by the speeding private bus.

The accident is reportedly attributed to the negligence of the bus driver, Riyaz. Outraged locals threw stones at the bus on the day of the incident to express their anger. Both deceased worked as salesmen and were returning home after completing their day’s work.

The Bantwal traffic police have registered a case.

    until and unless the buzdil public of dk follows junglee kanoon and teach lessons to this private bus mafia....these kind of tragedies will keep on occuring..RIP to the departed souls..thrash the driver and not the bus
