Bantwal: Three-year-old girl dies after being run over by reversing tempo

Bantwal, Nov 7: A tragic incident occurred in Tippunagar, Loretto Padavu, on Wednesday when a three-year-old girl was killed after getting stuck under the wheels of a parked goods tempo that unexpectedly reversed.

The victim, Aashika, daughter of Unais from Pattanabailu near Farangipet, was playing outside her grandmother's house when the tempo, owned by her uncle, suddenly moved backwards. Aashika was trapped beneath the wheels and sustained severe injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

A case has been registered at the Bantwal traffic police station.
