Kundapur, Nov 13: The newly appointed chairman of the Kundapur Urban Development Authority, Vinod Crasta, took charge during an official ceremony held at the authority's office on Wednesday. His appointment has been recognized as a significant achievement for his long-standing service to the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Udupi district Congress vice president Kishan Hegde Kolkebail lauded Vinod Crasta's dedication, stating, “Vinod’s parents were well-known for their community service, and he has followed in their footsteps as a committed party worker. His appointment is not a matter of luck but a recognition of his merit and dedication. The party values the efforts of every loyal worker.”
In his address, Vinod Crasta expressed his gratitude to the party for acknowledging his service, saying, “I have served the party from the grassroots level as a booth-level worker. I am aware of the challenges that come with the responsibility of leading the Kundapur Urban Development Authority. There are several issues that need attention, and I am actively trying to understand them. With the guidance of our party leaders, I am committed to providing effective service through the Authority.”
He emphasized the importance of improving essential public infrastructure, such as access roads, electricity, and drinking water, across residential areas. He further mentioned the shortage of staff at the authority office and assured that he would draw the government's attention to this matter to ensure efficient public service. “Our team is always ready to work sincerely towards addressing public needs,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by Kundapur Block Congress president Hariprasad Shetty Kanmakki, party leaders Dinesh Hegde Molahalli, Malyadi Shivaram Shetty, S Prakashchandra Shetty, Kedoor Sadananda Shetty, Kodi Shankar Poojary, B Heriyanna, and Mahila Congress president Devaki Sannayya, among others.
During the event, Vinod Crasta and newly appointed members Chandra Amin, Chandrashekar Shetty, and Mohammad Alphas were felicitated. Senior advocate A B Shetty inaugurated the office. Chandrashekar Shetty, a member of the authority, extended a welcome, while Chandra Amin delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Vijaya Bhandari Tekkate.
