Udupi: Muniyal Institute inaugurates skin health awareness, disorder camp

Udupi, Nov 13: On the occasion of National Healthy Skin Month, department of Agadatantra of Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal is conducting a free medical check-up and treatment camp on skin health care and skin disorder from November 12 to 16 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at its premises.

Dr Sathyanarayana B, principal of Institute, CAO Yogeesh Shetty, HOD of RSBK department Dr Dinesh Nayak, HOD of Roganidana department Dr Ravishankar Shenoy, camp in charge Dr Priti Patil, and hospital in-charge Dr Pramod Shet B, Dr Varuni S Bayari, assistant professor, Agadatantra department, Dr Soumya Priyadarshini V assistant professor department of Kaumarbhritya formally inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp on November 12.

This camp focuses on the management of skin manifestations caused by food allergies, insect bites, stings, (such as mosquitoes, ticks, bees, ants, and other arthropods) and other common skin diseases (acne, fungal infections, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, sun rash etc). By educating patients on preventative measures and treatment strategies for common skin diseases, the camp successfully aims at promoting skin health and its well-being.
