'Mangaluru Express' train to get LHB coaches from March 2025

Udupi, Nov 14: The central railway department has announced the upgrade of the CSMT–Mangaluru Junction 'Mangaluru Express' train with new LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches starting from March 2025.

The 12133/12134 CSMT–Mangaluru Junction 'Mangaluru Express' will replace its current conventional coaches with modern LHB coaches.

Currently, the train operates with conventional coaches comprising two second-class luggage-cum-brake vans, two general second-class coaches, one 2-tier AC and 3-tier AC composite coach, seven sleeper class coaches, four 3-tier AC coaches, and one 2-tier AC coach, totaling 17 coaches.

With the new LHB composition, the train will include two 2-tier AC coaches, three 3-tier AC coaches, five second-class sleeper coaches, four general second-class coaches, and one luggage-cum-brake van and one brake van, totaling 16 coaches.
