Mangaluru: Catholic Sabha, Omzoor unit celebrates 'International Men’s Day'

Mangaluru, Nov 17: "International Men’s Day", celebrated on November 19 is a fitting tribute to all the men for their dedication and sacrifice in their family and society. It is a day to celebrate men, celebrate their success and let them know how important they are in the social, economical and cultural spheres.

On the occasion of "International Men’s Day", Catholic Sabha, Omzoor Unit organised men’s day celebration on November 17. The celebration began with Solemn Eucharistic celebration which was celebrated by Fr William Menezes, parish priest.

A get together was organised in Sabha Bhavan. The programme began with a prayer song.

Fr William Menezes in his presidential speech stressed on the importance of family life, mental health and the key role that a man plays in his family and the society. He emphasised that every man should lead a meaningful life and be a role model to their families.

Thereafter, various cultural and fun activities were also organised. The enthusiastic men with their infectious energy lit up the event. Babitha Fernandes, Vinita Saldanha and Froidy Saldanha conducted various fun games and activities.

Fr William Menezes, parish priest; Arthur D’Souza, vice-president of PPC; Dafny Lewis, secretary of PPC, Elroy Saldanha, co-ordinator of all church commissions; Sr Luciana Fernandes, superior of St Charles Borromeo Convent were present to grace the occasion.

Glevita D’Souza compered the event. Roylin Saldanha, secretary of catholic sabha, Omzoor presented vote of thanks. Around 50 men actively participated in the programme.

Beautiful ladies of Catholic Sabha, Omzoor unit conducted a well organised event to celebrate Men's Day which they will cherish forever.
