London, Dec 13 (IANS): Actor Ben Stiller has decided to put funds raised through his charitable organisation to good use. He has pledged to build eight new schools in earthquake-hit Haiti.
Stiller, who was in Haiti Saturday, took to social networking site Twitter to reveal he has signed on a joint venture with local telecom bosses to construct the new education facilities, reports dailystar.co.uk.
"Great day in Haiti. Signed an agreement with Digicel Foundation to build eight schools," posted Stiller.
The "Meet The Fockers" actor established The Stiller Foundation following the earthquake which devastated the poverty-stricken nation in January 2010. He has been hosting events to raise donations ever since for his school building mission to help rebuild the country.
