Beltangady, Nov 19: Bhuvanendra Puduvettu (42), the chief reporter of Suddi Bidugade newspaper, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, following health complications.
Bhuvanendra, the son of Narayana Poojary and Mohini, residents of Puduvettu in Dharmasthala village, was admitted to Alva’s Hospital, Moodbidri, two days ago due to severe abdominal pain and vomiting. Medical examinations revealed a pancreatic stone, leading to acute pancreatitis. He was later shifted to KMC Hospital, Attavar, but succumbed to his condition on November 19.
A seasoned journalist, Bhuvanendra previously worked with Karavali Ale, Webduniya, Kasturi Channel, and Vijayavani before becoming the chief reporter at Suddi Bidugade. He also served as the executive editor of Suddi Bidugade’s Deepavali special edition in 2024.
Bhuvanendra is survived by his parents, Narayana Poojary and Mohini; wife Sujata; two children; brother Yatindra; and a sister.
The final rites will be performed on the afternoon of November 19 at his residence in Puduvettu.
