Mangaluru, Nov 30: The women’s cell of Srinivas University Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM), organized an inspiring activity titled ‘Breaking barriers: stories of women entrepreneurs’ on October 15.
The event aimed to empower students, particularly women, by showcasing successful women entrepreneurs and encouraging participants to develop their public speaking and presentation skills.
The primary objectives of the event were to:
• Inspire students through real-life stories of women who have overcome obstacles in their entrepreneurial journeys.
• Build confidence in students to address an audience and articulate their ideas effectively.
• Promote awareness of the significant contributions of women in the business world.
The event was structured as follows:
1. Opening remarks: The session began with a warm welcome by the coordinator of the Women’s cell, who emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship.
2. Presentations by students: Several students volunteered to present stories of renowned women entrepreneurs, each presentation highlighted the challenges faced by these entrepreneurs, their innovative solutions, and the impact of their work on society.
3. Interactive session: After the presentations, an interactive Q&A session allowed the audience to engage with the presenters, ask questions, and share their thoughts on the stories shared.
4. Feedback and closing: Participants provided feedback on their experiences during the activity. The event concluded with a call to action, encouraging students to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations and break societal barriers.
