Mangaluru, Nov 30: The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) organized by Srinivas University Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM), in collaboration with trainers from DHI Heraizen Technologies, aimed to enhance the teaching methodologies and administrative skills of faculty members.
This programme addressed critical aspects of academic management and instructional design, providing faculty with the tools necessary to optimize their teaching effectiveness and improve student outcomes.

1) Timetable management
Best practices for creating and modifying timetables. Tools available for real-time updates and changes.
2) Internal Assessment (IA) scheduling
Strategies for scheduling IAs to minimize conflicts. Use of software for tracking IA schedules.
3) Calendar of events
Importance of maintaining an updated calendar. Tools to synchronize events across different departments.
4) Lesson planning
Frameworks for developing effective lesson plans. Integration of learning outcomes with lesson objectives.
5) CO-PO and CO-PSO mapping
Explanation of Course Outcomes (CO), Programme Outcomes (PO), and Programme Specific Outcomes (PSO). Techniques for mapping CO-PO and CO-PSO to ensure curriculum alignment.
6)Attendance management
Systems for tracking student attendance efficiently. Reporting features for attendance analytics.
7) IA question paper creation
Guidelines for developing assessment papers. Use of templates and question banks.
8) Assignments creation and marks tabulation
Process for creating assignments and managing submissions. Tools for marks tabulation and analysis of student performance.
9) Class transfer and profile management
Procedures for handling class transfers smoothly. Maintaining and updating student profiles.
The FDP conducted by IPSLM, with the expertise of trainers from DHI Heraizen Technologies, was an impactful initiative that significantly enhanced the skills and knowledge of faculty members. By providing hands-on training across a range of essential topics, the programme not only improved individual competencies but also fostered a collaborative learning environment.
