Udupi, Dec 2: The search for Naxals is ongoing following the encounter of Vikram Gowda at Peetabailu. Areas surrounding Kabbinale, Mattavu, Nadpalu, and Peetabailu are being combed intensively by ANF personnel.

The investigation is being led by the DySP of Hebri police station, who is heading the search operation along with police personnel from the Hebri police station and ANF.

The public around Peetabailu is fearful after the encounter with Vikram Gowda. The inmates of the house where Vikram Gowda was encountered have not yet returned to their home. It is reported that they plan to hold a pooja before re-entering the house. ANF personnel are camping at a nearby house, and the residents of that house have relocated to their relatives’ home.

Investigation officer, Karkala DySP P Aravind, stated that the investigation into the Peetabailu encounter of Vikram Gowda is ongoing. The police are expecting the post-mortem and FSL reports soon.
