Bantwal, Dec 21: The state-run Shamboor High School will launch www.shamboorhighschool.com, the first ever government school in the state to do so, on Friday December 23, said school betterment committee president Bondala Jagannat Shetty.

Addressing media persons in a press meet held at the school here on Tuesday December 20, he said that the school that was set up in 2003 has most of the infrastructural facilities and the students are excelling in studies and sports.

“The state run high school located in a rural village supersedes the private schools.  It has an auditorium, computer division, classrooms, library CCRD Centre, sports ground and mid-day hot meals facility.  Its students are excelling both in curricular and extra-curricular activities. 

The dramatic troupe of the school bagged first place in the district level competitions and second place at the divisional level.  The ‘Kho-kho’ team has participated in divisional level competitions,” added Shetty.

The website will be launched during the annual day celebrations on Friday. The committee office-bearers Prakash Karant, Sudhakar, B K Shekar, head teacher Susheela, physical training instructor Jinnappa K, and teacher Prakash were present at the press meet.
