Beltangady: Locals protest poor road conditions in Dharmasthala by planting trees

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Dec 20: The road connecting Dharmasthala’s bathing ghat to Ajikuri is in a severely damaged state, causing immense inconvenience to commuters. In a unique protest, locals planted trees, including plantains, on the road to draw the administration's attention to its dire condition.

The damaged road has made vehicular movement nearly impossible, affecting thousands of daily commuters, including school and college students, children, tourists, and the general public. Despite repeated pleas by the public, no action has been taken to address the issue.

As a mark of protest, the public devised a unique method by placing plantains and other plants on the damaged roads.
