Karavali Utsava 2024: Film festival to debut with free screenings at Big Cinemas

Mangaluru, Dec 28: As part of the upcoming Karavali Utsava 2024, a two-day Film Festival will be held on January 2 and 3 at Big Cinemas, offering a unique cultural experience.

This marks the first-ever inclusion of a film festival in Karavali Utsava. Over two days, nine films and one short film in Konkani, Kannada, and Tulu will be screened, with free entry for all attendees.

Film screening schedule:

January 2:

  • Arishadvarga (Kannada) - 10:00 AM
  • 19.20.21 (Kannada) - 12:30 PM
  • Raj Sounds and Lights (Tulu) - 3:30 PM
  • Madhyanthara (Kannada) - 6:30 PM
  • Kantara (Kannada) - 8:00 PM

January 3:

  • Saramsha (Kannada) - 10:15 AM
  • Tarpana (Konkani) - 12:45 PM
  • Shuddi (Kannada) - 3:15 PM
  • Kubbi Mathu Iyala (Kannada) - 5:45 PM
  • Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana (Kannada) - 8:00 PM

Other Karavali Utsava highlights:

  • Robotic Butterfly Show: Kadri Park, until January 19, 4:00 PM onwards.
  • Heli Taxi: Sahyadri College, Adyar, available until December 31 (Rs 4,500 per person).
  • Automobile and Dog Show: January 4 and 5, Kadri Park.
  • Youth Festival: January 11 and 12, Kadri Park.
  • International Kite Festival: January 18 and 19, Thannirbhavi Beach.
