Udupi, Dec 30: Superintendent of Police Dr Arun K has issued specific instructions to ensure public safety and prevent untoward incidents during New Year’s Eve celebrations in the district.

Celebrations must conclude by 12:30 am on December 31, with loudspeakers permitted only until 10 pm to minimize noise pollution. Strict action will be taken against moral policing and indecent behavior, with a dedicated team formed to address such issues.

Organizers are instructed to arrange vehicle parking without causing inconvenience to the public. Celebrations must also avoid disturbing neighbors, particularly hospital patients, elderly citizens, and students.
