Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Dec 31: A woman’s leg got trapped in a broken drainage pipe installed on the main road of the city on December 30 evening.

The incident took place on the road leading to Colony, near the flower market.

The pipeline, located at a bend where the main road diverts to Colony Road, had been broken for some time. Despite repeated alerts from locals, no corrective action was taken by the city administration.

On Monday evening, the woman, who had come to the city, accidentally stepped onto the damaged pipe. Alert locals noticed her distress and promptly cut the pipe to free her leg, successfully rescuing her.

I have always witnessed that the first ones to help and stand with the public, when in trouble are the auto-rickshaws drivers. Most of them are generous and helpful. God bless them.
