Mangaluru, Dec 31: A retirement programe for Romius D’Souza was held on December 31 in the college auditorium to honour his 39 years of dedicated service at St Aloysius ITI.
Fr John D’Souza S J, director, St Aloysius ITI was the president for the programme. Roshan D’Souza, principal; Noel Lobo and Wilson N training officers; Alwyn Menezes, vice-principal and convener of the programme. Romius D’Souza, retiring staff along with his family members and Darshan, president, Student Council were present for the programme.
The programme commenced with a prayer song which was led by first year fashion designing students.
Darshan, president, Student Council escorted the dignitaries to the dais. Roshan D’Souza, principal, welcomed the gathering.
The felicitation ceremony was led by Wilson N, training officer.
A farewell song was dedicated by the staff members to Romius D’Souza.
Romius D’Souza, retiring staff spoke a few words.
In his presidential address, Fr John D’Souza SJ said, “Romius Sir has played very important role in this ITI. He has served as a warden in the hostel and has also served as junior training officer for 39 years. We thank you for your fruitful service. May God grant you good health and happiness in your future endeavours.”
Alwyn Menezes, vice-principal proposed a vote of thanks.
