SCS College organises lamp lighting & oath taking ceremony 2025

Mangaluru, Jan 18: The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the 31th batch of BSc nursing students and 22nd batch of GNM students of SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences was held on January 17 at KAMC Auditorium, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru.

The programme was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Padma Priya S, principal, Dr M V Shetty College of Nursing, Mangaluru. Dr Abhinay Sorake, secretary, Karnataka Educational & Charitable Trust presided over the function. A heart-warming welcome speech was given by Ashwitha. The novice nurses received the light from the chief guest of the programme. Ashwini U, associate professor highlighted the significance of the day.

The chief guest, Dr Padma Priya S, in her address congratulated the students for selecting this noble profession and stressed on the importance of touch in patient care and nurses’ responsibilities in patient care.

All the novice nursing students were rendered into the profession by taking the nurses oath delivered by the principal, Prof Lolita S M D’Souza. The programme was compered by Clesiy. The vote of thanks was delivered by Supreetha. U K Khalid, administrative officer and Anil Kumar, vice-principal, and coordinator Rajashree were present for the programme.
