Warning issued to seafarers as Iran’s revolutionary guard allegedly targets ships

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Jan 24: Seafarers in the Persian Gulf have been warned about suspected attempts by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard to force vessels into Iranian waters.

While Iran has a history of detaining ships, recent direct attacks have been minimal. However, since November 2023, Iran-backed Houthi rebels have targeted ships in the region. This campaign now shows signs of easing following the ceasefire in Gaza.

On the other hand, Palestinians displaced from the conflict-ravaged northern regions face an agonizing wait to return to their homes. The recent ceasefire has brought some relief, but many are left to confront the grim reality of what remains of their war-torn residences.
