Udupi: Man absconding for 15 years arrested by Manipal police

Udupi, Jan 25: Balaji M, son of Muthayya, a resident of 80 Badagabettu, Udupi, who had been absconding for the past 15 years, was successfully apprehended by the police.

The accused had been wanted by the police, and warrants had been issued for his arrest.

On January 24, around 10 am, the accused was spotted near Haralur Bus Stand in Bengaluru. Acting on this crucial information, a police team led by Manipal Police Inspector Devaraj T V, along with PSIs Anil Kumar, Akshaya Kumari, head constable Thomson, and police constable Raviraj, successfully detained the accused.

The accused was subsequently presented before the honorable court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
