I have immense respect for Anant Nag's incredible acting skills and congratulate him on his well-deserved award. However, I’d like to remind the GSB community that the people of Tulunadu are well aware of their origins in Kashmir, where they were displaced by Islamic invasions, and later faced persecution under the Portuguese in Goa before settling in the coastal regions. While the GSBs have made significant contributions to the growth and development of Tulunadu—legends like U.S. Mallya and T.A. Pai stand as shining examples—it is also important to acknowledge that they viewed Tuluvas as aboriginals and were part of the caste-based discrimination that, unfortunately, still exists in some pockets of this region. Despite this complex history, it’s crucial that we move forward with mutual respect and work together to eliminate the remnants of such divisions. Tulunadu’s strength lies in its diversity and unity, and celebrating our shared contributions will only make our culture richer and more harmonious
