Udupi, Jan 6: Sumit (6), son of Ganesh from Mabukala near Brahmavar in the district, has been desperately looking for his father, who got separated from him while returning after completing pilgrimage to Sabarimala. The boy has been put up in an orphanage, ‘St Vincent Home’, near ‘Deshabhimani’ office in Kozhikode, it is gathered.

While returning by train on Monday, the father-son duo got separated when the train was moving between Koilandy and Vadagara stations. Some people saw Ganesh with blood oozing out of his face, lying by the side of railway tracks. They then admitted him into Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.

Sumit, unable to find his father, got down from the train at Vadagara station. The local people, who saw the boy who was weeping consolably, handed him over to the policemen. The boy was admitted into an orphanage. The policemen, who gathered information that an injured person had been admitted into the above hospital, went there, and confirmed the identity of Ganesh.
