Mangaluru, Feb 1: The three-day ‘Mangaluru Beach Festival’ was inaugurated today at Tannirbhavi beach, celebrating the vibrancy, heritage, and beauty of the coastal region. Organized under the leadership of Tapasya Foundation, in collaboration with the Dakshina Kannada district administration and various organizations, the event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Odiyoor Gurudev Nanda Swamiji emphasized the importance of having a purpose in life. He highlighted that serving those suffering from illnesses in their final stages is a noble act and that sacrifice and service are the core values of India. He urged people to focus on humanity beyond caste and religion. Swamiji compared the vastness of the sea to the boundless nature of a dedicated individual and stressed the need for organic farming to purify the soil, which in turn benefits human health. He further stated that serving the sick is as significant as performing a temple's Brahmakalasha ritual.

MLC Ivan D'Souza, addressing the gathering, stated that Mangaluru should stand as a symbol of unity. He expressed concerns that several projects meant for the coastal region had not been fully realized and urged authorities to take necessary action. Praising Tapasya Foundation for organizing the festival, he encouraged Mangaluru residents to actively participate in the event and contribute to the city's growing reputation.
