Mumbai, Jan 10 (IANS): BIG CBS Networks Private Ltd, a joint venture between Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios International, Tuesday announced that it will launch a television channel called Spark Punjabi, which will telecast international content dubbed in Punjabi.

The channel will be launched Jan 14 and will be beamed in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh region.

"BIG CBS Networks Private Limited (BIG CBS) is proposing to make its television foray in the Indian regional market with the launch of Spark Punjabi channel, which will be the fourth channel of the joint venture company," the company said in a regulatory filing.

Other three channels launched were BIG CBS Prime, BIG CBS Love and BIG CBS Spark. Reliance Broadcast Network and CBS Studios International hold equal stake in the joint firm.

At the Bombay Stock Exchange the shares of Reliance Broadcast Network were 7.81 percent up to trade at Rs.52.45.
