Panaji, Feb 11: Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Kumar has issued a stern warning against any form of lawlessness in Goa, emphasizing the state’s zero-tolerance policy towards unruly behaviour. He urged tourists to enjoy their stay responsibly without disrupting the state’s peaceful atmosphere.
“Goa is a peaceful state. Tourists should enjoy its beauty responsibly without causing disturbances. Stakeholders must also act responsibly,” Kumar stated, adding, “We have zero tolerance for lawlessness.”

His warning follows a recent incident in Sangolda on February 6, where two tourists, Faiz and Arkan Shaikh, assaulted a local car driver. A viral video showed the duo attacking the driver with fists and helmets after a collision with their rental bike, leading to their immediate arrest.
To ensure law and order, police patrolling has been intensified along Goa’s coastal areas, Kumar added.
