Mumbai, Feb 19: St Lawrence High School, Borivali, bid a ceremonial farewell to the std X students of the 2024-25 batch on January 17 in grandeur. The atmosphere was filled with joy as the outgoing students had the pleasure of having the esteemed director of the Ryan Group of Schools, Dr Snehal Pinto, join them for this special occasion. The council members and the school band accorded a ceremonial welcome to the honourable director.
Before the function commenced, the smartly dressed outgoing td X students took photographs class-wise along with Dr Snehal Pinto to preserve the memories of their schooling. The function started with a prayer invoking the name of the Almighty. Praise and worship songs by the school choir, accompanied by student dances, set the tone for the celebration.

Everyone was given a musical welcome with a melodious song and dance performance. To celebrate the diverse talents and achievements of the students, the outgoing students were conferred with awards such as 'Excellence in Academics', ‘Star Performer in Sports', ‘Oratory Skills', ‘All-Round Best Student', and the ‘Nightingale Award for Singing’ for their outstanding accomplishments. The crowning of the Lawrence prince and princess received the loudest cheers from the students.
The candle ceremony, initiated by Dr Snehal Pinto, involved senior council members handing over lighted candles to junior council members, symbolizing the continuation of the school's legacy. This was indeed a solemn occasion.
Outgoing students had the opportunity to share their experiences of school life. While doing so, they thanked chairman sir and managing director madam Grace Pinto of the Ryan Group of Schools for bringing transformation to their lives and for developing 21st-century skills through various initiatives such as social service camps, INMUN, BBN International Theatre Festivals, and interactive sessions, to name a few. Dr Snehal Pinto shared her words of wisdom with the passing-out batch and wished them the very best in their lives.
The musical orchestra presented by the students at the end of the celebration was indeed a musical treat for the outgoing students. As they embarked on the next phase of their lives with hearts full of gratitude, the students bid farewell to their cherished alma mater, St Lawrence High School, Borivali, carrying with them the lessons and memories that would last a lifetime.
