Mumbai, Feb 22: Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has found herself in the middle of a controversy after calling Holi a festival of "chhapri" people on a recent episode of Celebrity MasterChef. Her remark has triggered outrage among netizens, with many accusing her of hurting sentiments.

BJP spokesperson and Bigg Boss 18 contestant Tajinder Bagga strongly condemned her statement, calling her the “biggest chhapri” in response. In a video shared on Instagram, Bagga lashed out at the filmmaker, saying, “Targeting Indian culture and festivals has become a habit for some people. Farah Khan should apologise to Indians for her remarks on Holi.”

Adding to the backlash, social media personality Vikash Fhatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, has filed a police complaint against Farah Khan at Khar Police Station, Mumbai. He has demanded legal action against her for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments.

Farah Khan’s comment, “Saare chhapri logon ka favourite festival Holi hota hai,” has not gone down well with many, with calls for an apology growing louder.
