Cairo, Feb 25: Egypt has firmly opposed any proposals to displace the Palestinian people, emphasizing that such moves would undermine the Palestinian cause and jeopardize regional security, the Egyptian Presidency stated on Tuesday.

The announcement comes amid growing outrage in the Arab world over US President Donald Trump’s reported plan to permanently remove over 2 million Palestinians from Gaza, bring the territory under US control, and transform it into the "Riviera of the Middle East."

Egypt has reiterated its stance against any forced displacement, warning that it would destabilize the region and escalate tensions further.
