Mangaluru: Fire breaks out at Karangalpady commercial complex, bank documents destroyed

Mangaluru, Feb 28: A fire erupted at a bank located in the Karangalpady commercial complex on Friday, February 28, reportedly due to a short circuit. Thick smoke was seen billowing from the building, prompting locals to alert the fire department. Firefighters arrived swiftly and managed to extinguish the flames before they could spread further.

According to reports, several important bank documents were destroyed in the fire. Fortunately, as it was midday, there were fewer customers inside the bank.

As soon as the thick smoke was noticed, employees immediately evacuated the premises, ensuring that no casualties were reported.

    Bit unusual in important buildings ,or work places getting short circuit.Cant they make it fire safe or avoid short circuit? Speciall important papers are kept simply so?Hope atleast they have entered them in computer before it got fire´.Something here is faul.

    Why the important documents were not kept in a fire resistant storage cabinets? Manager and the bank inspectors should be held responsible.
