Mumbai, Mar 2: The Maharashtra government is set to relaunch ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’, an investment summit initiated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in 2018, aiming to attract fresh investments into the state. The industry department is considering holding the event between October and December this year.
Originally launched under Fadnavis, the event was last held as ‘Magnetic Maharashtra 2.0’ in June 2020 in a virtual format due to the pandemic. However, political instability and a lack of interest under CM Eknath Shinde led to its discontinuation.

Following his return as CM in November last year, Fadnavis directed officials to revive the event. State industries secretary P. Anbalagan confirmed the development, stating, “We attracted $185 billion in Davos. To scale up to the next level, we will hold ‘Magnetic Maharashtra’ this year.”
The event is expected to serve as a major platform for driving new investments and strengthening Maharashtra’s position as an industrial hub.
