Ankara, Mar 4: Turkiye has strongly condemned Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, calling it a blatant violation of international law and a major threat to ongoing ceasefire efforts.
In an official statement on Monday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry denounced the move as a deliberate act of collective punishment against the Palestinian people. "This decision is a clear violation of international law and only worsens the humanitarian crisis in Gaza," the ministry stated, as reported by Xinhua news agency.

Turkiye further warned that such actions could derail diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a lasting ceasefire in the region. "By restricting humanitarian aid, Israel is undermining peace efforts and prolonging the suffering of innocent civilians," the statement read.
The Turkish government has called upon the international community to act swiftly and ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. "It is imperative that Israel adheres to its international obligations and allows aid to reach those in desperate need," the statement emphasized.
Israel has blocked the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip since early Sunday, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that the measure was intended to pressure Hamas into agreeing to a new proposal for extending the first phase of a ceasefire deal.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has issued a stark warning over the move, cautioning that it could have devastating consequences.
Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor for UNRWA, stated that the blockade would further intensify "the tragedy and immense suffering" endured by Gaza’s more than two million residents, who have already faced over 15 months of war.
With growing international concern, humanitarian organizations and governments worldwide are urging Israel to reverse the decision and allow critical aid to reach Gaza’s vulnerable population.
