Mangaluru, Mar 4: The president of UAE Bunt Dubai, Vakwadi Praveen Kumar Shetty, released the book ‘Kadalacheya Ramya Nota Dubai’ on Tuesday, March 4, at the Press Club. The book, authored by B K Ganesh Rai, a Dubai-based writer, was published by Amrutha Prakashana.
Speaking at the event, Praveen Kumar Shetty said, "It is an honour to release a book authored by B K Ganesh Rai. He is a well-known figure in Dubai and has been a part of every event in the UAE promoting Kannada culture. This beautifully written book truly captures the essence of Dubai. Even after his retirement, he started his YouTube channel to promote events conducted in the UAE, and we have great admiration for him. We will also speak with U T Khader to ensure that this book is made available in government libraries as well. I hope that in the coming days, Ganesh Rai will write about the entire picture of the UAE in a book form.”
Author B K Ganesh Rai expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am always grateful to every organization in the UAE for their constant support over the past 25 years. I have written more than 700-800 articles and conducted interviews that have been published in various media. Various organizations in the UAE have given me numerous opportunities, and today it feels like a dream come true to unveil my book titled ‘Kadalacheya Ramya Nota Dubai’.”
Sarvottam Shetty, president of the Abu Dhabi Karnataka Association, UAE, also highlighted the book's significance, stating, "This book will serve as a valuable resource for many in understanding the unique bond we share with this beautiful city. I hope more such works are created in the future."
The book ‘Kadalacheya Ramya Nota Dubai’ features 46 chapters along with captivating pictures of Dubai.
Writer and retired teacher Dr Aruna Nagraj, president of the District Working Journalists Union Srinivas Nayak Indaje, editor of Amrutha Prakashana Dr Malathi Shetty Manoor, and Surekha Yalavara, who compered the event, were also present.
