Mangaluru, Mar 4: District In-charge minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has issued a show-cause notice to Krishnaveni, a senior official from the mines and geology department, for her unexplained absence during the Janatha Darshana programme held on February 5.

According to the notice, the Janatha Darshana programme was conducted on February 5 at Bantwal, chaired by minister Dinesh Gundu Rao. Despite numerous public complaints during the event, the mines and geology official was absent without prior permission.

Taking the matter seriously, the minister has directed that disciplinary action be initiated against the official. It was her responsibility to address public grievances related to the mines and geology department during the programme.

The notice further states that Krishnaveni did not seek prior permission from the relevant higher authorities or the district in-charge minister for her absence. She has been asked to provide an explanation within three days.
