Mangaluru: Former deputy mayor Mohammed Kunjathbail passes away

Mangaluru, Mar 8: Former Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) deputy mayor Mohammed Kunjathbail passed away on Saturday, March 8, following a heart attack. He was 60 years old.

A three-time corporator, Kunjathbail had served as the deputy mayor and was an active member of the Congress party, contributing significantly to the welfare of society.

He was also a prominent leader and guide of the Toll Gate Virodhi Horata Samiti, Suratkal, and was known for his people-centric approach and integrity. He was widely respected for remaining untouched by corruption throughout his career.

The Toll Gate Virodhi Horata Samiti expressed deep shock over his untimely demise and paid heartfelt tributes.

"His sudden passing is a great loss to the committee. He was always thoughtful of the public interest and remained untainted by corruption. The committee offers heartfelt condolences," said Muneer Katipalla, convenor of the Toll Gate Virodhi Horata Samiti.
