Bantwal, March 8: Diganth, a student from Kidebettu, Farangipete, who had mysteriously gone missing, was finally located in Udupi on Saturday, March 8, after nearly 10 days. Police are reportedly in the process of bringing him back to Bantwal.
Taking the case seriously, both the state government and the police department launched an extensive search operation. More than 40 personnel were involved, including 30 officers from the District Armed Reserve (DAR), along with railway police, the fire department, FSL experts, a dog squad, and drone cameras to aid the search.

Diganth, a II PUC student in Mangaluru, had informed his family on the evening of February 25 that he was going to a temple. However, he neither reached the temple nor returned home, vanishing under mysterious circumstances. His slippers and mobile phone were later found near the railway tracks close to his house, which heightened concerns and led to the intensification of the search.
The news of his safe recovery has brought immense relief to his family and the local community, who had been anxiously awaiting updates.
According to sources, Diganth was found in a shopping mall in Udupi City, where he was seen filling his bags with clothes. Suspecting his activity, the mall staff approached him, and upon interrogation, Diganth revealed his identity. The staff then immediately informed the police, leading to his safe return.
