Hyderabad, Jun 25: Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with filmmaker-husband Raj Nidimoru, ending weeks of speculation surrounding her pregnancy.

The actress made the announcement during the success meet of her latest Telugu film Maa Inti Bangaaram held in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Samantha also revealed that she would be taking a maternity break from her acting commitments.

Addressing fans at the event, Samantha said, "Sorry guys, one more small gap and then I will be back. I know I have to take maternity leave now. But I am very happy."

The announcement was met with cheers from fans and industry colleagues, with congratulatory messages pouring in on social media soon after the event.

Earlier, Maa Inti Bangaaram director BV Nandini Reddy had hinted at the development while speaking about the film's success. She described the news as a happy moment coinciding with the movie's strong box-office performance.

Samantha and Raj Nidimoru tied the knot on December 1, 2025, in a private ceremony at the Linga Bhairavi Temple at the Isha Yoga Centre.

Meanwhile, Maa Inti Bangaaram continues to perform well at the box office. Released on June 19, the action drama has reportedly earned over Rs 55 crore worldwide, drawing appreciation from both audiences and critics.

Created by Raj Nidimoru and directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film follows the journey of a woman with a mysterious past who strives to build a new life with her family. Her world is turned upside down when threats from her former life return, forcing her to protect her loved ones while guarding a closely held secret.

The film also features Diganth Manchale, Gauthami, Chaitanya and Srinivas Gavireddy in prominent roles and is produced under the banner of Tralala Moving Pictures.
