Moodbidri: Officials raid illegal sand mining in Kadandale river; seize vehicles

Moodbidri, Mar 9: Acting on information about illegal sand mining in the Kadandale river, revenue inspector Manjunath from the Moodbidri taluk office conducted a raid on March 8.

During the operation, two tippers—one registered in Kerala and the other in Mangaluru—along with an iron boat used for the activity were found at the site and seized.

The seized tippers have been handed over to the Moodbidri police station.

The iron boat, weighing approximately 3.5 tons, could not be lifted and was left at the location.
