Panaji, Mar 15: Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar has hinted at a possible reshuffle in the Pramod Sawant-led government, suggesting that developments could unfold within a month.
Addressing the media, Tawadkar acknowledged the ongoing buzz regarding changes in the Cabinet. “Though it is the Chief Minister’s prerogative, I believe the issue will be settled in the next 15 days to a month,” he stated.

Names like Digambar Kamat, Nilesh Cabral, Sankalp Amonkar, and Michael Lobo are being speculated for possible induction into the cabinet. While earlier discussions revolved around two new faces, recent reports suggest that up to four ministers might be replaced.
Sources indicate that Kamat was recently summoned to New Delhi by the party high command, though the details remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has repeatedly denied any immediate changes in his cabinet.
The BJP has been assessing the performance of its ministers and MLAs, with Sawant personally conducting evaluations. Speculations about a reshuffle have persisted since last year, with repeated delays in implementation. The talks gained momentum after outgoing BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade hinted at changes in the New Year.
Political circles remain abuzz with speculation that the reshuffle could be aimed at accommodating Congress turncoats ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
