St Agnes PU College founded by Mother Aloysia is a minority educational institution that traces its roots to the Apostolic Carmel Congregation founded by Venerable Mother Veronica of the Passion at Bayonne, France, in 1868 and was established in India at St Ann’s campus, Mangaluru, in 1870 with the specific goal of promoting women’s empowerment through education. It is significant to note here that the college has been a pioneer in this regard and has been playing a pivotal role in championing the rights and roles of women.
