Kudlothsava 2025: Bahrain Pearls emerge champions in ladies throwball tournament

Manama, Mar 18: The Karnataka Social Club successfully hosted the Kudlothsava Ladies Throwball Tournament 2025, following the club’s volleyball and cricket tournaments. The event, held at the club’s rooftop, saw participation from six teams and concluded with Bahrain Pearls emerging as champions.

The game of throwball, widely played across community groups and schools in Mangaluru, holds a special significance, especially among women.

The tournament featured the following six teams:

  1. Kannada Sangha Red
  2. Kannada Sangha Blue
  3. Karnataka Social Club
  4. Karnataka Social Club Paradise
  5. Bahrain Pearls
  6. Bahrain Warriors

The tournament was coordinated by Alwyn D'Souza and Jeevan D'Mello and commenced at 10 AM. After the league stage, four teams advanced to the semi-finals.

Semi-final results

  • Bahrain Warriors defeated Kannada Sangha Red to secure a place in the finals.
  • Bahrain Pearls overcame Karnataka Social Club Paradise to reach the final match.

Finals and winners

In an intense final, Bahrain Pearls clinched the championship title, lifting the winner’s trophy and receiving a cash prize of $200. Bahrain Warriors finished as runners-up, taking home the runners-up trophy along with a $100 cash prize.

Individual trophies were awarded to the winners and runners-up in recognition of their performances.

The tournament concluded at 10 PM, as scheduled. Sunil Nazreth, the main sponsor of the event, was acknowledged for his support.

Next event: Kudlothsava Mindicoat 2025

The Karnataka Social Club announced that Kudlothsava Mindicoat 2025, featuring indoor games, will take place on March 21, 2025. Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners.
