Mangaluru, Mar 22: Member of Parliament for Chitradurga, Govind Karjol, has termed the Siddaramaiah-led state government as a "zero development" and ineffective administration.

He further stated, "In the name of the guarantee scheme, the government has fooled the people. The Chief Minister has cheated the Dalits by misusing their funds. During his tenure so far, 3,400 farmers, 12 contractors, 10 officials, and 23 individuals, due to harassment from microfinance institutions, have committed suicide."

Karjol also demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and an apology to the public for the involvement in corruption, illegal activities, and his cabinet's alleged involvement in the honey trap case.

He expressed disappointment over the suspension of 18 BJP MLAs for six months, stating, "It is unfortunate. When the Congress was in the opposition, they too disrespected the speaker, but we never suspended their leaders. While suspensions for 3 to 5 days are acceptable, suspending them for 6 months is condemnable."
